Guests of Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa may request a show around of Burj Al Arab. Our dedicated Guest Relations staff are well prepared to arrange this complimentary show around; however, it is recommended to provide at least 24 hours notice and is subject to occupancy levels at Burj Al Arab.

What is the hotel's policy about lost and found items?

A.

Should any guests lose personal belongings whilst staying at Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa, if recovered, the item will be recorded as 'found'.

We keep detailed records of all 'found' items, and will store these for a maximum of three months. After this period, in line with the directives of the General Department of Criminal Investigation in Dubai, all unclaimed items will be handed over to the nearest Police Station.

These 'found' items will then be kept at the police warehouse for a further three months after which they will be auctioned, and any funds raised given to charity.

Should hotel guests need to locate any item after the initial three month period expires, they are requested to contact the hotel who will assist in coordinating with the police station where the found items are handed over. The police will then advise the necessary procedures to locate any item.

The Resort comprises of 115 deluxe rooms including 10 suites.

At what time can I check in and at what time do I have to check out?

A.

Guests are required to check in from 4:00 pm on the day of arrival and check out by 12:00 noon on the day of departure.

Q.

Can I check in early? Can I check out late?

A.

Guests scheduled to arrive early in the morning, who wish to access their room upon arrival, are advised to book the night prior. Alternatively, you may request an early check in or late check out, although these cannot be confirmed and are subject to availability on the date requested. However, you are invited to store luggage and enjoy the facilities until your room becomes available or you may continue to use all of the Resort's facilities until your departure time.

Do you have interconnecting rooms?

Interconnecting rooms are available for families with children. You may request an interconnecting room, although it cannot be confirmed and is subject to availability on the date requested.

Are safety deposit boxes available?

Safety deposit boxes are available in all guest rooms and in reception.

Are irons available?

Irons are available for our guests' convenience. Please contact the Front Desk or Housekeeping, as they will be happy to provide you with one.

All guest rooms are equipped with Internet access. Furthermore, the Business Centre located in the conference area features several computer workstations with Internet access for a nominal fee. Wireless internet connection is also available in certain areas throughout the Resort.

Is clothing optional for sunbathing at the Resort?

Topless sunbathing is not permitted under the UAE law. In the event a guest chooses to participate in this activity, the Resort's management will intervene immediately.
